A-E rate off 4.7pc to US$606/TEU, falls 0.5pc to Med, off 5.2pc to USWC
SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to Northern Europe dropped 4.7 per cent to US$606 per TEU in the week ending Friday, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
The Asia-Med component of the SCFI declined 0.5 per cent to US$869 per TEU.
Shanghai to the US west coast decreased 5.2 per cent to $818 per FEU as rates to the US east coast off 3.8 per cent to $1,619 per FEU.
