Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa see fall in cargo after airport terror attack
BELGIUM's Brussels Airlines has suffered a severe decline in cargo volumes in March in the wake of the terrorist attacks on its home airport on March 22.
The Lufthansa Group subsidiary said that cargo traffic was largely disrupted as a result, and that the total of 2,609 tonnes reflected a year-on-year decrease of 21 per cent.
Until March 21, cargo load factor amounted was 69 per cent, according to the airline, reported London's Air Cargo News.
