A-E rate falls 13pc to US$636/TEU, off 7.5pc to Med, rises 0.7pc to USWC
SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to Northern Europe dropped 13 per cent to US$636 per TEU in the week ending Friday, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI), IHS Media reported.
The Asia-Med component of the SCFI off 7.5 per cent to US$873 per TEU.
Shanghai to the US west coast rise 0.7 per cent to $863 per FEU as rates to the US east coast decreased 0.6 per cent to $1,683 per FEU.
