Shanghai port Q1 profit off 18.9pc to US$188 million, revenues fall 4.3pc
SHANGHAI International Port (Group) Co (SIPG), the operator of the Port of Shanghai port, suffered a 18.9 per cent year-on-year first quarter profit decline to CNY1.22 billion (US$188.51 million) drawn on revenues of CNY7.11 billion, which fell 4.3 per cent.
From January to March this year, Shanghai port handed a total throughput of 8.54 million TEU, down 1.5 per cent from 8.67 million TEU in the previous corresponding period.
