IAG Cargo to operate routes to Costa Rica, Peru, US and Puerto Rico
INTERNATIONAL Airlines Group (IAG), the single business created following the merger of British Airways World Cargo and Iberia Cargo, has started operating a twice-weekly cargo service between London and San Jose in Costa Rica.
The company has deployed British Airways B777-200ER aircraft for the flights, which will have a maximum cargo payload of 18 tonnes.
The service to Costa Rica is one of four new routes announced by the company.
Starting May 4, IAG will start a thrice-weekly service between London Gatwick and Lima, Peru. It will also use British Airways B777-200ER aircraft for the flights, which will also have a maximum cargo payload of 18 tonnes
On the same day, the company will start a service between London Heathrow and San Jose, California, using a British Airways B787-9 aircraft with a maximum cargo payload of 16 tonnes.
The fourth new service, which starts from 15 May, 2016, will operate between Madrid and San Juan, Puerto Rico, using an Iberia Airbus A330-200 aircraft with a maximum cargo payload of 15 tonnes.
