Uzbekistan Airways to begin cargo Navoi-Tehran flights with Korean Air
UZBEKISTAN Airways is to commence regular cargo flights to Iran's capital of Tehran from April 29.
The flights from Uzbekistan's Navoi airport will be operated in cooperation with Korean Air to Imam Khomeini International Airport, using Boeing 767-300 converted freighters on a twice weekly frequency on Mondays and Fridays.
Currently, cargo flights from the Navoi airport are to Frankfurt, Vienna, Milan, Zaragoza, Tel Aviv, Dubai, Delhi, Mumbai and Seoul, reported Trend News Agency.
The volume of cargo transportation from Navoi airport stood at 35,800 tons in 2015, an increase of 16 per cent compared to the previous year, according to the state-run airline.
