A-E rate flat at US$271/TEU, falls 2.9pc to Med, off 6pc to USWC
SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to Northern Europe remained at US$271 per TEU in the week ending Friday, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
The Asia-Med component of the SCFI dropped 2.9 per cent to US$397 per TEU.
Shanghai to the US west coast declined six per cent to $725 per FEU as rates to the US east coast fell three per cent to $1,599 per FEU.
