TankBag provides single-use liners to give ISO tanks multiple use

A SINGLE use liner for ISO tanks, TankBag, now provides a solution for bulk liquid shippers, says the US TankBag company.

TankBag has an answer to critical product integrity problems and cleaning costs for hard-to-clean products, says the Cleveland, Ohio, manufacturer.

"It's becoming more and more difficult for operators to provide the right tank, in the right place," said TankBag (USA) general manager Waldemar Finke.

"TankBag provides essentially a brand new tank for every load - meeting FOSFA, FDA, EU Food, and Kosher requirements, as well as sensitive pharmaceutical product requirements," he said.

"Further, it enables operators to have a clean tank available without expensive positioning, providing clean tanks in areas where cleaning is not an option, or where the cost of cleaning is prohibitive," Mr Finke said.

Said CEO Fred Hunger: "TankBag is a game changer. Shippers utilising IBCs [intermediate bulk container] due to product integrity issues, can now realise economies of scale achieved with ISO tanks.

"So this innovation can also have the impact of expanding the ISO tank market. All the strength and safety of an ISO Tank is now enhanced with TankBag - and is backed by the tested and proven approach of our R&D methodology and manufacturing process," Mr Hunger said.

The TankBag liner is loaded and discharged by a pump using a loading hose through the man lid. The simple loading process will be completed in 30-45 minutes. Discharging is straightforward and takes the same time.

The product is manufactured using a high-quality food-grade polyethylene, made from 100 per cent virgin resin.

The polypropylene valve, coupling and flanges are all made using proprietary moulds by TankBag (USA) LLC. This innovative product provides all the strength and safety of an ISO Tank plus the tested and proven product safety of the TankBag.
