Marine engineering contractors hold Hong Kong convention April 6
THE Asia-Pacific Section of International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) will meet Saturday April 6 at the Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel, Nathan Road, Kowloon, Hong Kong for a "one-stop briefing" for members and non-members alike.
The first presentation will be the raising of the Costa Concordia, an offshore operation and will be delivered by Michael Mallin of Hill Dickinson Hong Kong Solicitors.
Then Joe Monk of Fugro TSM will speak on establishing and implementing a competence scheme based on the IMCA framework.
Then comes Phil Thompson and Louise Ledgard of BMT Ship & Coastal Dynamics to discuss understanding the operational environment of FLNG (floating liquefied natural gas).
The programme starts at 9am and ends 3.30pm comprises a general update on activity; a worldwide update by regional members on activity within our core divisions. After a networking lunch, three topical presentations that demonstrate the breadth of activities undertaken by our members will be made.
