Clarification: Faulty inference drawn from report on INTTRA's shipper form
OUR March 23 article "INTTRA helps create verified gross mass number to get boxes aboard" is said to contain inaccuracies and misrepresentations supporting the conclusion that US-based INTTRA, ocean shipping's electronic marketplace, has developed software with the "intent of enabling shippers to bypass SOLAS VGM container weight requirements".
The editors wish to declare that it was never said, nor was it our intention to imply that INTTRA designed its "Create eVGM" form for shippers to bypass United Nations container weight requirements.
We apologise for any misimpression and regret any incorrect inference drawn from what was written.
