Russia's NCSP Group cargo increases 2.3pc to 23.8 million tonnes
RUSSIA's NCSP Group has reported a consolidated cargo turnover rose 2.3 per cent in 2015 year on year to 23.8 million tonnes.
The group's container traffic in January totalled 857,000 tonnes up 23.3 per cent and in February to 81,500 TEU, up 13.5 per cent year on year.
Bulk cargo amounted to 2.1 million tonnes and general cargo comprised 2.2 million tonnes.
Transhipment of bulk cargo in January-February increased by 504,000 tonnes or 31.4 per cent year on year to reach 2,109,000 tonnes, despite adverse weather effect.
NCSP Group includes Russia's two largest ports by cargo turnover, Novorossiysk on the Black Sea and Primorsk on the Baltic.
