A-E rate falls 2.8pc to US$205/TEU, off 6pc to USWC, drops 3pc to USEC
SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to Northern Europe fell 2.8 per cent to US$205 per TEU in the week ending Friday, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI), Reuters reported.
The Asia-Med component of the SCFI fell 3.9 per cent to US$195 per TEU.
Shanghai to the US west coast declined six per cent to $761 per FEU as rates to the US east coast fell three per cent to $1,658 per FEU.
