COSCOCS starts to merge Cosco and CSCL's domestic box businesses
CHINA Cosco Shipping Corporation (COSCOCS), the new name for the merged entity of Cosco and China Shipping, has started to merge its domestic container businesses.
Puhai Shipping, the domestic container shipping unit of China Shipping Group, will be merged into Cosco's Shanghai Pan Asia Shipping this week.
Song Tao, general manager of Puhai Shipping, will move to Shanghai Pan Asia Shipping as Communist Party secretary.
Shanghai Pan Asia Shipping operates 267 vessels with a total capacity of about 190,000 TEU, while Puhai Shipping runs about 50 vessels with 20,000 TEU.
