DHL, Posti & Bring to offer B2C parcel delivery in Nordics, Baltics
DHL is partnering with Finnish postal operator, Posti, and Bring, a subsidiary of Posten Norge, the Norwegian postal operator, to offer a business-to-customer service for parcel delivery in Scandinavia, Finland and the Baltic countries, starting from April 1.
This expansion allows for cross-border e-commerce among seven countries. The company said it has now increased its network to 16 of the most important European e-commerce markets. DHL Parcel is aiming to attain business in the cross-border online shopping trend in Europe.
In the Nordics and the Baltics, people are very open to online retailing and are above average users with individual expenditures higher than the European average. This delivery network will be the largest operated in these markets and will include 6,500 parcel shops and parcel stations by the end of this year, reported Air Cargo World.
In addition to the new service and Saturday delivery, the partners will have a system whereby recipients will be notified when their item arrives, and there will be an easy return service in all the European markets DHL Parcel operates in.
