Maersk Line to increase Asia-Europe rate by US$400/TEU April 1
MAERSK Line plans to increase freight rates for moving containers from Asia to Northern Europe by US$400 per TEU from April 1.
The increase would take rates up by 190 per cent on the current level, that is widely seen as loss-making, said Reuters The shipping company also aims to raise freight rates from Asia to ports in the Mediterranean by $500 per TEU.
