Delta air cargo sales fall 12.6pc in February, 10.8pc year to date
DELTA Airlines posted a 12.6 per cent year-on-year decline in cargo ton miles in February to 155.1 million tons miles, accompanied by 10.8 per cent year-to-date fall to 331.8 million ton miles.
Consolidated passenger unit revenue (PRASM) for the month of February declined 5.5 per cent year on year, including 1.5 points of pressure from foreign exchange, Delta said.
Across all entities, booking trends into the peak leisure season are strong and corporate demand remains solid as higher volumes continued to offset lower yields.
Delta offers service to 327 destinations in 57 countries on six continents. Headquartered in Atlanta, Delta employs 80,000 and operates a mainline fleet of 800 aircraft.
