CMA CGM to levy US$200/TEU Europe-Caribbean rate hike from April 1
FRENCH shipping giant CMA CGM has announced a rate increase from north Europe to Caribbean, Central America, north coast South America and west coast South America of EUR200 per TEU (US$217) from April 1.
For the purposes of the increase, north Europe includes the Baltic, Scandinavia, UK, Ireland and Spanish and Portuguese Atlantic ports.
But it does not apply to the French West Indies, Trinidad, Suriname, Guyana as well as the Leeward and Windward Islands.
