MSC, Iran Ports & Maritime Organisation to expand cooperation in shipping
REPRESENTATIVES from the Iran Ports and Maritime Organisation (IPMO) and Switzerland's Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU), paving the way for cooperation in shipping and sea transportation to be expanded.
The two sides exchanged views on the construction of express train lines, renovation of road transport networks, development plans for infrastructure, and the rebuilding of ports, reported Trend News Agency of Baku, Azerbaijan.
The MoU gives Swiss shipping companies the green light to come to Iran for joint venture cooperation after implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.
The MoU authorises MSC to broaden the scope of cooperation in the Iranian ports of Bandar Abbas, Chabahar and Imam.
