Transport PR firm ISIS Communications rebrands to Portcare
NOT wishing to be confused with the murderous Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), the British transport public relations firm ISIS has been forces to rebrand.
The UK's ISIS Communications has now changed its name to Portcare International. "The change is being made to focus attention on the company's service offerings and to avoid unintentionally extending visibility of a terrorist organisation," the company said in a release.
"Over the past months we have resisted changing our name, feeling that we would be giving in to forces seeking to destabilise our society.," said managing director Peter Owen.
"However, more recently we have felt an increasing moral obligation to cease being an unwitting promulgator of a 'brand' with such evil connotations."
