Hong Kong customs officer dead, appears to have shot self at airport
A CUSTOMS officer has died from what is believed to a self-inflicted wound at the Hong Kong International Airport, according to local media.
A gunshot was heard at a customs officers' changing room at around 1pm, reported Ming Pao daily.
The changing room was located at an air cargo terminal on Chun Wan Road North, according to the RTHK, the state broadcaster. The man was declared dead on the scene when paramedics arrived.
He was found with a gunshot wound on the left side of his head, according to Ming Palo and Apple Daily. A gun was found next to his body.
