A-E rate off 22.6pc US$257/TEU, Asia-Med off 29pc to $266/TEU
SPOT rates for shipping containers from Asia to Northern Europe fell 22.6 per cent to US$257 per TEU in the week ending Friday, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index (SCFI).
The Asia-Med component of the SCFI fell 29 per cent to US$266 per TEU.
Shanghai to the US west coast declined 6.1 per cent to $1,005 per FEU as rates to the US east coast fell four per cent to $1,983 per FEU.
