Cargolux, Oman Air add Luxembourg-Mumbai to belly cargo agreement
CARGOLUX and Oman Air are expanding their existing co-operation agreement for cargo flights by adding two weekly flights from Luxembourg to Mumbai, their second destination in India after Chennai, starting March 8.
The agreement signed last year provides Cargolux with access to the belly capacity of Oman Air's passenger fleet, which operates to 11 destinations in India, as well as to destinations in East Africa.
Said Oman Air chief operating officer Abdulrahman Al Busaidy: "Our advantages include the carriage of project cargo, livestock, cargo aircraft-only freight, odd size cargo, vehicles and aircraft engines."
Said Cargolux vice president Nike van deer Wide: "We are happy to see our successful cooperation extends further. With India's growing importance as a manufacturing nation, we see a lot of future potential and possibilities for both our companies."
