IATA's 10th World Cargo Symposium in Berlin March 15-17
THE 2016 World Cargo Symposium organised by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) will be held in Berlin on March 15-17 to focus on this year's theme, "The Value of Air Cargo," and examine the latest developments in the air cargo industry, its value and its future.
The agenda will cover a wide range of topics related to economics, technology & innovation, optimisation, safety and special cargo, and bring networking opportunities with a mix of plenary sessions, panels, expert presentations and multiple tracks.
Alongside the plenary session programme there will be 13 half-day tracks to tackle pertinent and timely cargo issues including: Air Cargo Europe; Supply Chain: Changing Mindsets; ULD: In the frontline of flight safety; Perishables: Flying it fresh; Embracing Technology: The path to efficient processes; and Sustaining our Value in the Future.
The other seven tracks to choose from are: Cargo Border Management: The need for smart regulations; CEIV Pharma Workshop; Airfreight Germany - overcoming the challenges; Air Mail & Consumer e-Commerce: Is air cargo ready? Cargo Operations: Leading Change; Dangerous Goods; and Drones for tomorrow's air cargo.
WCS 2016 also sees the 5th edition of the Future Air Cargo Executives Summit (FACES) designed around identifying and developing the next generation of air cargo leaders.
