NTSB to resume search in April for 'black box' from sunken El Faro
THE US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will again search for the missing "black box" in the sinking of the El Faro cargo ship that took the lives of 33 crew in an Atlantic hurricane last October.
The search, which will take place in April, hopes to find the voyage data recorder (VDR) and to provide investigators with a more extensive and detailed survey of the shipwreck.
"The voyage data recorder may hold vital information about the challenges encountered," said NTSB chairman Christopher Hart, reports American Shipper.
