Mainland-Macau trade up 30.3pc, but Macau exports to China down 10.8pc
TRADE volume between Macau and the mainland increased 30.3 per cent between January and November in 2015 year on year.
But Macau's exports to China a decreased 10.8 per cent to US$170 million during the 11 months, compared to $190 million one year prior.
Overall trade strength was attributed to the strong growth in China's exports to the city, said official data from the Chinese Ministry of Commerce.
Data also showed that the volume of trade between Macau and the mainland reached $4.38 billion during the first 11 months of last year, compared to $3.36 billion for the same period in 2014.
The mainland's exports to the Special Administrative Region contributed 96 per cent of the total trade value between the parties, amounting to US$4.21 billion.
The number represents an increase of 32.8 per cent from US$3.17 billion year on year.
