China's economy grew 6.9pc in 2015, according to official statistics
CHINA's economy grew 6.9 per cent in 2015, reports the South China Morning Post, citing the National Bureau of Statistics.
This is the slowest pace of growth in 25 years, with China's economy not experiencing a pace of growth under seven per cent since 1990.
By contrast, in 2014 the pace of the economy's growth was 7.3 per cent. Last year the government set a target of growth for about seven per cent, although analysts expect that the government will lower expectations for 2016-2020 to an annual growth pace of 6.5 per cent.
