ABC cargo soars 27pc in November - surges 20pc in first 11 months

RUSSIA'S AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC) has posted a 27 per cent year-on-year increase in November cargo volume driven by more "connectivity options".

For the first 11 months of 2015, the firm carried 439,000 tonnes of cargo, up 20 per cent year on year.

"In 2015, ABC continued its growth strategy, a combination of operating a highly efficient fleet, network expansion to the points of production and consumption," said ABC executive president Denis Ilin.

"This was augmented by developing niche destinations with limited belly capacity but stable cargo flows and a high level of service quality," he said.

ABC has taken delivery of two new Boeing 747-8 Freighters. This latest delivery in November increased ABC's fleet of 747-8s to eight.

With the new fleet capacity firm has added new cargo routes to Singapore and Hanoi in Asia, Helsinki in Europe, and Los Angeles and Atlanta in North America, bringing their global weekly connections to 600.
