Cairo Airport Cargo deploys Hermes air cargo management system
CAIRO Airport Cargo Co (CACC) has deployed the Hermes air cargo management system. The Hermes IT system has been adopted by various airlines, cargo hubs, ground handlers and airports, reports Atlanta area Air Cargo World.
The system will also be installed into CACCs new terminal, which is under construction.
The CACC facility, which can currently handle 40,000 tonnes of cargo per day, is part of a project called "Cairo Cargo City", which will eventually include three main terminals,
One terminal will handle imports, while another will service exports and yet another deal with the express business. When completed in the first quarter of 2016, Cargo City will cover more than 150,000 square metres.
