Singapore port authority to demolish retaining wall at Sungei Pandan
THE Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore will demolish an earth retaining stabilising structure (ERSS) at Sungei Pandan bounded by a) 01 deg 18.095'N / 103 deg 45.297'E, b) 01 deg 18.090'N / 103 deg 45.285'E, c) 01 deg 17.994'N / 103 deg and d) 45.326'E) 01 deg 17.999'N / 103 deg. 45.337'E.
Port Marine Notice No 141 of 2015 says that the work will be carried out between 0700 and 1900 hours daily, including Sundays and public holidays from January 1 until May 30.
The demolition of the ERSS will be carried out by crane barges and divers will be deployed for the work. A safety boat will be deployed in the vicinity of the working area to warn other craft of the works.
Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.
When in the vicinity, mariners are not to enter the working area, maintain a proper lookout, proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution, maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 25 (Pasir Panjang Control) and communicate with Pasir Panjang Control on VHF Channel 25 for assistance, if required.
