CargoLogicAir prepares to begin charter operations from London-Stansted
START-UP all-cargo carrier, CargoLogicAir, the UK-based subsidiary of Russia抯 AirBridgeCargo, is waiting to receive an Air Operator Certificate from the UK抯 Civil Aviation Authority, but other than that it is ready to go after hiring its flight crews to operate its first Boeing 747-400 freighter and launching a website.
The freighter leased from Aircastle has been undergoing test flights this month at London-Stansted Airport where the new carrier will be headquartered.
Once it starts both scheduled and charter operations, CargoLogicAir will be the UK抯 only maindeck airline, reported Air Cargo World.
AirBridgeCargo president Denis Ilin said earlier this month that CargoLogicAir would be operated more on a charter basis. AirBridgeCargo, which took delivery of two new B747-8Fs early in November, eventually plans to interline with CargoLogicAir.
