RUB95 million was spent on renewing the cargo handling fleet and the terminal equipment, and RUB1.7 million went towards improving the terminal IT infrastructure and expanding the video surveillance system, reported PortNews.

IT system improvements include the control of the customs processing status, filing requests for cargo inspection via web interface, inspection of import containers by state authorities immediately after discharge from vessels.

As a result of the investment programme the terminal's container handling capacity has increased to 750,000 TEU. In 2014 the terminal handled 387,600 TEU.
