SDV expands presence Thailand with new logistics centre
SDV Thailand, a joint-venture between SDV and Unithai of Thailand, has started operations at its new state-of-the-art multi-user warehouse located in the Bangplee area, 10 km from the Thai capital.
The 20,000 square feet logistics centre, with quick access to expressways and the main ports and airports, is fully equipped with temperature-control systems to serve all specialised retail industries such as: cosmetics, fashion and luxury retails, as well as e-commerce customers.
The new logistics centre currently manages over 15,000 stock-keeping units (SKU) through radio frequency under the brand new warehouse management system designed specifically for SDV.
The system allows real-time data exchange between SDV and its customers. The centre also provides more added-value services to its customers such as kitting, co-packing, labelling, price tagging, and delivery to final consumers.
SDV is a subsidiary of Bollor?Logistics of France, which is a major global provider of supply chain management. SDV Thailand employs more than 200 employees in seven different locations: Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Leam Chabang, Songkla, Bangplee, Bangna, and Suvarnabhumi.
