Ukraine Air Alliance seeks permission to commence US cargo flights
UKRAINE Air Alliance has applied to the US Department of Transportation (DOT) for a Foreign Air Carrier Permit (FACP) in order for it to operate scheduled and charter flights between Ukraine and the United States with added destinations beyond.
In its application the Ukrainian airline is also seeking exemption authority.
The carrier intends to operate an Antonov An-12 on up to eight monthly ad-hoc flights between the two countries. It plans to launch the flights next spring, reported ch-aviation.
With a fleet of eight An-12s, the airline specialises in cargo and passenger charters throughout Europe as well as to Asia and Africa. It also has plans to add five McDonnell Douglas MD-80 freighters to its fleet at some point in the future.
