CKYHE alliance winter services on Asia-North Europe and Mediterranean loops
CKYHE Alliance member lines comprising COSCO, "K" Line, Yang Ming, Hanjin Shipping & Evergreen are to cancel a total of 9 voyages on the current Asia-North Europe/Mediterranean service loops from November through December 2015 to cope with the seasonal market demand, according to a K" Line statement.
However, the statement said CKYHE Alliance will continue to provide weekly services covering major ports connecting Asia and North Europe and Mediterranean regions.
The cancelled voyages on the Asia-North Europe Services: 45th week, NE7 (ETA Ningbo, November 4); 46th week, NE8 (ETA Taipei, November 8); 48th week, NE7 (ETA Ningbo, November 25); 51st week, NE8, (ETA Taipei, December 13); and 51st week, NE7, (ETA Ningbo, December 16).
On the Asia-Mediterranean Service the cancelled voyages are: 47th week, MD2 (ETA Xiamen, November 15); 48th week, ADR (ETA Qingdao, November 26); 49th week, MD2 (ETA Xiamen, November 29); and 51st week, MD2 (ETA Xiamen, December 13).
Meanwhile, "K" Line announced that it provided free sea transportation for three fire engines and two ambulances donated by the Japan Firefighters Association to Republic of El Salvador.
The Japanese Firefighters Association has been donating fire engines used in Japan to overseas to help improve of fire defence systems in developing countries. This is the third time that "K" Line has shipped donated vehicles to the country for free.
"K" Line has been the honorary Consul of El Salvador since 1969 and this year is the 80th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between El Salvador and Japan.
