BIMCO will run sessions on cyber security and on how to manage a crisis resulting from a casualty at sea at its annual conference on November 18 in Hamburg.
Participants will hear an expert assessment of current cyber security levels on board ships, and find out more about cyber-attacks and countermeasures.
Head of BIMCO's marine department, Aron Sorensen, said: "Two years ago, cyber security was just not on the radar for the shipping industry. Since then, we have seen global corporate brands, including Sony, hit the headlines when they fell victim to cyber-attacks.
