Silk Way West Airlines joins IATA, presentation at Caspian cargo summit
SILK Way West Airlines of Azerbaijan joined the International Air Transport Association (IATA) with the presentation of a membership certificate at the sixth Caspian Air Cargo Summit in Baku.
CEO Kamran Gasimov said in a company statement that this is a great achievement as it will open up new market opportunities for the carrier and help it gain greater recognition in the international air cargo industry.
The airline has passed its first IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) and will comply until January 2017.
Currently IATA's membership consists of 255 aviation companies from 119 countries.
