Seaspan takes in 14,000-TEUer from Korea's Hyundai Heavy Industries
HONG KONG administered, but Vancouver headquartered Seaspan has accepted delivery of the 14,000-TEU YM Warmth, from Korea's Hyundai Heavy Industries, the sixth same size ship of the SAVER design and the eighth delivery in 2015.
The YM Warmth will commence a 10-year, fixed-rate time charter with Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp Yang Ming may extend the charter for up to an additional two years.
The ship is the sixth SAVER design vessels to be chartered by Seaspan to Yang Ming, and brings the Taiwan company's operating fleet to 85 vessels.
