Norfolk Southern suffers much rain damage to lines in South Carolina
THE Norfolk Southern lines in South Carolina suffered much damage as a result of the historic rainfall that hit the area in recent days, reports the American Journal of Transportation Of Plymouth, Massachusetts.
Railway crews have been working diligently over the past few days to inspect the tracks for damage and performing the work necessary to get parts of the network near the Port of Charleston operational again.
Several line segments in the state have been brought back on line, but the main intermodal route between Charleston and Spartanburg remained out of service
