TNT wins air and road contract from Harding Safety of Seimsfoss, Norway
TNT, Dutch forwarding giant, now subject to imminent takeover by American express giant FedEx, has been awarded a five-year contract covering air and trucking services with lifesaving equipment supplier, Harding Safety.
TNT will become the exclusive carrier for all spares shipments for Harding Safety at global level and will provide a full range of express delivery services using its integrated road and air network, reports London's Air Cargo News.
TNT said Harding Safety had redesigned its supply chain by centralising smaller warehouse locations to seven central warehouse locations globally.
These warehouses are located in Seimsfoss (Norway), Rotterdam, Dubai, Shanghai, Singapore, New Iberia (Louisiana) and Macae (Brazil).
TNT will execute Harding Safety's worldwide inbound and outbound transport of spares for lifesaving equipment to merchant, cruise, offshore and navy customers.
