DHL Express offers 40pc off to e-tailers using HKTDC 'Small Orders' site
DHL Express is holding a year-round express delivery promotion and e-commerce workshops in collaboration with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC).
This will offer "significant" corporate discounts to small order suppliers in Hong Kong on international express services from October to December 31.
Verified suppliers selling through the hktdc.com 'Small Orders" online transaction platform (http://smallorders.hktdc.com) will be eligible for 40 per cent off the published rates for international services, a company release said.
As the official air express company for HKTDC trade fairs in 2015, providing logistics support at 25 events organised by the HKTDC this year, the company will also organise a series of workshops with the HKTDC.
These workshops will equip these suppliers with e-commerce knowledge, helping SMEs to capture opportunities worldwide and establish a presence beyond exhibitions and physical stores.
The office in Hong Kong will also share its expertise and know-how on e-commerce logistics and fulfilment, a crucial aspect for small order suppliers in managing growing online orders and meeting time-sensitive customer needs.
"Since the launch of hktdc.com Small Orders platform in 2012, overwhelming response has been received from buyers and suppliers, with multiple awards from the US Web Marketing Association from 2013 to 2015 and the 21st Annual Communicator Award by International Academy of the Visual Arts," said HKTDC e-commerce director Loretta Wan.
"We are very pleased to collaborate with DHL to help SMEs lower international fulfilment costs and facilitate them to reach out to the global online buyers in the world of e-commerce," she said.
