Biggest 18,691-TEU boxship diverts from Felixstowe for London Gateway
THE 18,691-TEU UASC Barzan, which has recently taken the title of world's biggest containership, arrived at DP World London Gateway where it unloaded 4,000 TEU from Asia for UK distribution.
The vessel became the largest ship to berth in the River Thames, after the ship was diverted from the Hutchison-owned Port of Felixstowe. At 400 metres, the Barzan is the longest ship in the world, reports Ships Monthly, of Cudham, Kent.
