With funds in place, Rickenbacker air cargo terminal construction begins

A NEW 100,000-square foot air cargo terminal will be built at Ohio's Rickenbacker International Airport near Columbus to handle the movement of cargo from planes to trucks now that funding is in place.

The airport's fifth cargo terminal will be located just off the tarmac on land owned by the Columbus Regional Airport Authority and leased to Distribution Land Corp, a real estate affiliate of L Brands Inc, a Mast Global logistics arm.

Construction by Elford Inc has begun and is expected to be completed next spring reports Columbus Business First. Rickenbacker International Airport will have a new terminal dedicated to international air cargo.
