Germany's Frankfurt-Hahn airport sends of 31-race car shipment
FOLLOWING the Nuerburgring race, 31 racing cars took off aboard four Boeing 747-4 freighters from Germany's Frankfurt-Hahn Airport, heading for the next leg of the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) World Endurance Championship in Austin, Texas.
The upcoming race in the US is to be held on September 19, reported Atlanta area Air Cargo World. In addition to the racecars, three safety cars and other equipment were loaded for a total shipment of 400 tonnes.
Transportation to the race track in Austin will be handled by DHL Global Forwarding, requiring the use of special trucks and attachment techniques.
