Biggest China-built box ship of 18,000 TEU is delivered to CMA CGM
FRENCH shipping line CMA CGM has taken delivery of an 18,000-TEU newbuilding, the Zheng He, built by Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co and designed by China State Shipping Corporation.
The containership that was handed over to the Marseille-based company in Shanghai and is the biggest ships built by a Chinese yard.
Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding said it is preparing to construct 20,000-TEU boxships in future, reported Taiwan's China Times.
