Mideast materials handling exhibition in Dubai September 14-16
THE Material Handling Middle East exhibition for intralogistics, warehousing, supply chain management, freight and cargo to be held from September 14-16 in Dubai comes at a time when a string of investments in the UAE's industrial sector is injecting renewed impetus in the materials handling industry.
Global logistics and warehouse suppliers have been turning their backs on sluggish domestic markets and are looking to the Middle East for growth, say event organisers of the Messe Frankfurt Middle East at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Abu Dhabi's Khalifa Port's Industrial Zone (KIZAD) and Dubai South have seen several multi-million dollar investments in manufacturing, warehousing and logistics in the first eight months of the year.
Al Gharbia Pipe Company's US$300 million manufacturing plant in KIZAD has added to the $322 million in investments in the UAE capital's industrial zone for the first half of the year, while in June global supply chain company Mohebi Logistics broke ground on its new $150 million 260,000-square-metre facility at Dubai South.
More than 150 brands from 21 countries will be showcasing their wares at the exhibition.
