Singapore extends work to install silt curtains in Tuas Spring

THE working period to install silt curtains at Tuas Spring Desalination Plant and sea water intake at Tuas View in Singapore has been extended, and will now be conducted 24/7 from July 25 to January 24, according to a marine notice from the Maritime and Port Authority. 

The working area (A) is bounded by the following coordinates--WGS 84 Datum-- 1) 01 deg. 18.313'N / 103 deg. 37.307'E; (2) 01 deg. 18.332'N / 103 deg. 37.256'E; (3) 01 deg. 18.368'N / 103 deg. 37.270'E; (4) 01 deg. 18.349'N / 103 deg. 37.320'E. 



Working area B: (5) 01 deg. 18.210'N / 103 deg. 37.245'E; (6) 01 deg. 18.216'N / 103 deg. 37.232'E; (7) 01 deg. 18.233'N / 103 deg. 37.239'E; and (8) 01 deg. 18.228'N / 103 deg. 37.251'E. 



A crane barge assisted by tugboat will be used to install the slit curtains, reported GAC Hot Port News.
