FedEx shortens outbound service transits from seven cities in China

FEDEX Express said it has cut transit times on priority express and freight services from Dalian, Yantai, Weihai, Jinan, Zibo, Zhengzhou and Chongqing.

The company says that henceforth transit times from these cities to America, Europe and other parts of the world will be reduced by one to two business days.

"I'm delighted that FedEx is able to help enhance the connectivity enjoyed by these cities," said FedEx Express Asia Pacific president Karen Reddington.

In recent years, the company has accelerated its air route optimisation, improved its services and expanded its network to provide customers with reliable and efficient logistics support.

The enhancement will benefit small and medium enterprises, many of which are engaged in the production of arts and crafts, electronic chips and manufacturing spare parts, said Dr Reddington.

For these SMEs, the ability to get products to overseas markets on schedule is as important as the product quality. This service enhancement significantly shortens time-to-market for SME customers that sell to overseas markets.

FedEx Express is the world's largest express transportation company, providing fast and reliable delivery to more than 220 countries and territories.
