Cosco Pacific has so-so June, Bohai Rim as good as got, up 6.1pc
COSCO Pacific's Yangtze River ports posted a 2.3 per cent year-on-year increase in container volume in June to 857,400 TEU, having experienced better times in the preceding two months.
Cosco terminals in southeast coast ports recorded a 1.5 per cent fall in volumes to 315,200 TEU with the Pearl River Delta ports' throughput increasing 1.1 per cent in June.
The company's overseas ports fell with Piraeus near Athens dropping 2.9 per cent and at its Suez Canal Container Terminal falling 2.5 per cent in June.
Cosco's partially owned terminals in Singapore and Antwerp more made gains of three per cent while 6.1 per cent growth was posted at Bohai Rim ports in June from flat growth the month before, which appears to have been driven largely by good times Qingdao Qianwan Container Terminal.
