Cargolux begins Turkmenbashi service, part of Central Asian expansion
All-CARGO Cargolux has begun four weekly flights to Turkmenbashi Airport (KRW) in Turkmenistan deploying a 747 freighter from its home base in Luxembourg and then on its way to back to Baku, Azerbaijan.
On Mondays Cargolux flies a Hong Kong-KRW-Budapest route; on Tuesdays and Saturdays, Luxembourg-KRW-Taipei and on Wednesdays, Hong Kong-KRW-Vienna.
Turkmenbashi is now Cargolux's fifth destination in Central Asia, along with Baku, Novosibirsk, Almaty and Tbilisi, reports Atlanta area Air Cargo World.
Turkmenistan Airlines is now aligned to cooperate with Cargolux抯 worldwide network of 90 destinations. At the same time, Cargolux can now better serveKazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
Turkmenbashi, in service since 2010, offers state-of-the-art infrastructure and is centrally located at a major crossroads for travel between Europe and the rest of Asia.
