Hapag-Lloyd America joins PayCargo's e-freight payment network
GERMANY's Hapag-Lloyd is offering its customers in the US another electronic payment option after joining the PayCargo network.
The service provider's online, commercial payment applications connect ocean carriers and their shipper customers to automate financial processing.
"Hapag-Lloyd is offering PayCargo as yet another option to streamline electronic payment and settlement processing," said PayCargo vice president Juan Dieppa.
The new service features multiple payment options including additional credit terms, enhanced payment recognition to help accelerate the release of cargo or documents, and allows shippers to dispute invoices in order to expedite resolutions.
